Reverend Éva LaRoche
Hello! Welcome to my site!!! I'm so excited to have you here and hope you'll take some time to peruse all my pages. Please be sure to do so after reading this page — you may be pleasantly surprised. If not, then that’s okay too, as we are all different with various ideas appealing to our individual tastes. First, I'd like to congratulate you both on your engagement and upcoming wedding. This is certainly an exciting time and will be more so, the closer we get to your wedding day!
I don't know about you, but I REALLY like to have fun. If you're the type of couple that likes to be playful and have boatloads of fun too, then I invite you to come play with me on your journey to your wedding day. Together, we'll be creating perfect memories to look back on for a lifetime!!!
To better get to know me, I'd like to formally introduce myself. My name is Éva LaRoche, and I am a wife first...married to my devotedly rock-steady husband of 29 years; a mother second with two amazing young adult offspring; and an ordained wedding minister - one of the many professional Chicago wedding officiants also servicing the Chicago suburbs - and sole owner of A Perfect Fit Rev.
I have been many things in between, which have attributed to my wide array of experience in writing and speaking in front of large audiences on and off camera and is the reason why I am exceedingly adept at performing every ceremony I am called to officiate be it a wedding ceremony, vow renewal ceremony or elopement ceremony to name a few.
Over the many years before I became a Chicago wedding officiant, opportunities presented themselves, where I could do what I loved — speaking in front of audiences — large and small. My serious skills for writing and speaking included lectures, training classes, and appearing on public access programs that aired on the television and internet. I had a knack for penning quite a few poems over the years, too.
My writing gift expanded into different areas, where I was called to write and read eulogies at funerals for those who have gone on before us. After one of the eulogy readings, the priest was so amazed and stated, "In all of my 40+ years as a priest, I have never heard a eulogy as riveting as this one." It even brought tears to his eyes, which usually never happened with him. I would end each eulogy with a personalized poem about their dearly departed loved one.
After having had the honor of giving eulogies, it had brought up a strong desire from within me to do more with my speaking and writing talents. Within me was this enthusiasm for wanting to celebrate people in a positive light - and that's where becoming a wedding officiant, a.k.a. wedding celebrant, presented itself. Since May 1, 2012 after opening my doors at A Perfect Fit Rev, I have had the most fun and exhilarating time of my life performing one ceremony after another.
As important as your wedding day is to you, that's all the more reason it's important to me. In my opinion, the wedding ceremony is THE most important part of your wedding day — it's what sets the tone for the rest of your wedding day experience. And without it, there would be no marriage and no cause for celebration afterwards.
I hold my duty as a wedding officiant in the highest regard, and I never take it for granted when a couple chooses me to officiate their wedding ceremony. I'm always honored and consider it a great privilege to be invited to participate in one of the most important days of a couple's life by giving them the platform for the start of a happy, healthy marriage.
All Chicago wedding officiants must be feeling the same as I do, that it's at the top of my list of most rewarding experiences in my life officiating a wedding ceremony, a vow renewal ceremony, a commitment ceremony, a quinceañera ceremony, a baptism ceremony, a welcoming ceremony or whatever ceremony being celebrated, because it brings the kind of joy into a great many peoples' lives that is seldom experienced.
The best part about it all, it's giving me the greatest personal benefit - my continued growth as a compassionate soul. This is what guides me every step of the way from preparing the ceremony to solemnizing it on your grand day. Have no doubt that I am capable of delivering what you expect of me and the ceremony we will create together. It will surely be one of THE most gratifying experiences in your lives!
Among other services I offer is celebrating a baptism ceremony / christening ceremony, baby blessing ceremony or welcoming ceremony. Here are a couple of quotes that reflect the meanings of these time honored traditions...
"...baptism is your personal testimony to, and the inward assurance of, your passage from the old life to the new life." ~ Dr. Ray Pritchard
"In welcoming and naming a child, we celebrate one of life's continuing miracles, the birth of a human being and the continuation of humankind." ~ Humanist
What makes me stand out among most Chicago wedding officiants is that I devote my time to you in a full-time capacity. In addition, I have the ability to perform a bilingual Spanish and English wedding ceremony for you and your significant other, if this is the type of ceremony needed. You'll find more information here.
And so, here I am with open arms joyfully offering my services to all hetero couples, same sex couples and transgender couples as an ordained wedding minister Chicago is fond of in more ways than one. My services are also available in the Chicago Suburbs all across Chicagoland, as well as northwest Indiana, southwest Michigan and southern Wisconsin along with my associate wedding officiants...
